How Aros Marine Implemented a Unified Sobriety Testing Standard on a Global Scale
Before implementing Worksober, the company faced a key challenge — ensuring transparency and reliability in the sobriety testing process. Although tests were conducted, they were performed with individual tools, without centralized data recording. This meant that Aros Marine could not objectively prove whether all employees had been tested and lacked the ability to monitor or analyze overall data. Such a setup posed risks to both employee safety and the company’s accountability to clients and regulatory bodies.
In searching for a solution, the company wanted not just a service provider but a technological partner who could automate processes rather than add administrative burden. The main selection criteria were centralized management, integration with internal systems, the ability to handle large employee volumes, and full data traceability. Worksober met all these expectations.
Today, Aros Marine uses 15 Worksober devices, most of them stationary, with several mobile units distributed across various project sites worldwide. Sobriety tests are conducted daily across all active projects. The process has become clear and consistent: all employees are tested according to the same standard, regardless of country or project manager.
Integration with the company’s HR management system is also underway. In the near future, sobriety test data will automatically link to employee timecards. This will further minimize human error and ensure complete transparency and traceability.
After implementing Worksober, the company observed several key improvements:
- Transparency and real insight: the initial rollout revealed that alcohol-related incidents occurred more often than expected. Centralized data registration made it possible to identify the real scope of the issue that previously went unnoticed.
 - Improved discipline: as employees adapted to daily checks, responsibility and consistency increased, and sobriety testing became a natural part of the work process.
 - Reduced administrative workload: automated data logging and report generation significantly decreased manual record-keeping, saving time and minimizing the risk of errors.
 - Unified global standards: the testing procedure is now consistent for all employees, across all countries and sites, regardless of local management. This strengthened equality and trust within the workforce.
 - Objectivity and evidence-based decisions: the system allows managers to make decisions based on factual data rather than subjective judgment, resulting in fairer and more transparent outcomes.

The Aros Marine case demonstrates that digital sobriety control can serve not only as a safety measure but also as an effective management tool connecting teams across the world.
“Our experience with the Worksober system marks a step toward a more transparent, safer, and accountable work environment. Over time, the system has become a natural and efficient part of our daily workflow, helping to strengthen discipline and reduce risks. It’s a solution that truly works — not in theory, but in practice, every single day.”
